Larry Diener

Larry Diener is an associate project director with the Scientific Operations Group of King Pharmaceuticals in
Cary, NC. Prior to moving to King, Larry was a clinical research project leader with the Center for Clinical
and Genetic Economics at the Duke Clinical Research Institute. Larry's interest in socially responsible business
practice and sustainability is focused primarily in the area of health care practice and policy and derives from
over over 17 years of information systems and health outcomes research.
His secondary interests lean toward environmental stewardship and alternative energy. He holds bachelor's
degrees in zoology and science education and a master's degree in botany from NC State University. In 2006
he graduated from the Weekend Executive MBA/Health Sector Management program at the Fuqua School of Business
at Duke University. Larry is a musician and in his free time frequents Celtic picking sessions and occasionally
plays for contra dances in the area.

Angela Brehmer

Angela Brehmer is a Business Development Associate at Duke Clinical Research Institute and will be serving as the Events Coordinator for the Triangle Net Impact Professional Chapter.
Angela is interested in environmental sustainability, especially how humans impact it and what businesses can do to be more socially responsible.
Angela, her husband and three family pets have lived in North Carolina since February 2006.

Matt Nash

Matt Nash is the Associate Director of the Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship (CASE)
at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business. A graduate of the Yale School of Management, Matt has significant
domestic and international social and public sector experience. Prior to coming to Fuqua, Matt served as a
Senior Consultant in Strategy and Change Solutions with the Public Sector Practice at IBM Business Consulting
Services. In this position and previous consulting capacities, he has served a diverse set of clients ranging
from local organizations (including a nonprofit resource center, a community housing board, and a disabilities
rights coalition) to large agencies (such as World Vision, UNICEF, and the U.S. Agency for International
Development). While obtaining his MBA, Matt also worked as the Leadership Institute Manager at Yale's Center
for Public Service and chaired the Nonprofit Student Interest Group at the Yale SOM. Prior to attending
business school, Matt volunteered with the US Peace Corps in Romania after graduating from Yale College,
where he received the graduation prize for public service. Matt and his wife Nicole recently relocated to
the Triangle area from Chicago.

Alix Bowman

Alix Bowman is a recent graduate from the MBA program at Carnegie Mellon
University, Tepper School of Business. She originally came to North
Carolina to explore business opportunities related to swine waste
management, and is interested in new technologies for processing waste of
any kind into useful products.
Before pursuing her MBA, Alix spent close to ten years working as a
naturalist and educator in New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Louisiana.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Tulane University and
is trained in numerous sustainability assessment techniques.

Shari Maloney
Marketing & Communications Chair

Attracted by North Carolina's beautiful natural environment and the Triangle's economic vitality and outstanding educational institutions, Shari Maloney recently located to the area from Washington, DC.
While living in the nation's capital Shari worked in marketing and public affairs for a diverse group of corporate and nonprofit organizations. Most recently she was a consultant advising Fortune 500 government affairs departments on the use of technology in grassroots communications, lobbying and PAC fundraising. Previously she was a marketing and management consultant to nonprofits and associations, and a marketing director for a project management business training company and an educational non-profit. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA she attended Duquesne University, receiving a BA and MA in Political Science.
Shari is a strong advocate of environmental conservation and sustainability as it pertains to both individuals and businesses. She enjoys working on residential landscaping to preserve native habitats and to slow run off that can harm area water sheds. She is also a volunteer with the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences where she educates the public on the natural environment.

Don Van Ollefen

Don Van Ollefen is a principal and partner in The FWA
Group architects. Don has thirty years of comprehensive
design experience in various building types in North
Carolina and the Eastern United States. He is a member
of the U.S. Green Building Council and has earned the
designation of LEED Accredited Professional. Through a
contextual and integrated design philosophy, Don
incorporates the highest level of sustainability in
every project. Don earned a Bachelor of Architecture
from Carnegie Mellon University and a MBA from the Katz
School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. The
combination of “green” design and “socially responsible”
business led to his interest and membership in Net
Impact and specifically in the Triangle Net Impact
chapter.

Aubrey Arnoczy

Aubrey Arnoczy is serving as the Marketing Chair for the Triangle Net Impact professional chapter. He received an MBA in Entrepreneurship and
Technolgoy Duke University in 2006. He is commited to using environmentally and socially sustainable practices in everyday businesses. He currently works
as a Marketing Strategist for RFMD in Greensboro.
